It would be valuable to introduce an option to switch slider behavior between linear and logarithmic modes. In many real-world use cases, especially at relatively high overall system volume on Windows, most of the usable listening range is concentrated in the lower portion of a linear slider, while the remaining range represents only a small but very loud volume increase.
A logarithmic slider would distribute perceived loudness more evenly across the full slider range, making the control significantly more practical and precise. Tools like MIDI Mixer have implemented this distinction, and it has noticeably improved usability for many users.
